Leslie Rupp

Leslie has been a coach at Newton for more than 30 years. She is a level 3 certified coach and teaches, Synchro, Freestyle, Dance and Skills. Leslie was named coach of the year for the BC/Yukon Section in 2005. Leslie teaches three days per week at Newton and the rest the the Chilliwack Figure Skating club. Donna Paul

Donna Paul has been a coach at Newton for more than 30 years. She is a level 3 certified coach and teaches freestyle, dance, skills, PreJunior and synchro. Donna also was named coach of the year for the BC/Yukon section in 2005. Donna is an avid volunteer for several charities and is on the Newton club executive. Her hobbies are gardening and genealogy. David Gibson

David been instructing skating at all levels since 1991. Having taught skaters from the beginner Canskate level thru gold test and has taken skaters to winning BC Championships and competing at Nationals. David took some time out from coaching before he got too old to perform in International ice shows as a Soloist and Dance Pair skater . He is also an expert skate sharpener and works for the city as an Icemaker / Arena Operator. As well as a Newton Club coach David instructs at several clubs has in the lower mainland and is known as an expert Dance instructor / partner . For lessons contact David @ 604 584 3364

Danalee Harrison

Having coached for the Newton FSC in all disciplines for over a decade, I look forward to another decade ahead. I have been a member of the Newton FSC since the age of 3 with a great opportunity to give back to the community that I grew up in. I currently am certified NCCP Level 2, and Level 3 Theory, Technical and analysis. I enjoy the fresh new faces each year with a passion for learning the discipline and technique of a beautiful sport. Coaching all levels from CanSkate to Nationals, singles and Synchronized, being a mentor for these young athletes is what gives me the satisfaction of the sport. Starting from learning through play and growing into mature athletes is what makes the sport of figure skating so rewarding. Be involved in SPORT and many opportunities will arise!
